India and Pakistan have taken over the Iranian Handmade carpet market

The head of the union of Handmade carpet sellers said: More than 90% of Iranian Handmade carpets are exported, but of course our market is taken by countries such as India and Pakistan because the cost and wages of workers in these countries are cheaper.
Seyyed Mojtaba Araghchi stated: In our country, 80% of the cost of handmade carpets is wages; Therefore, it is natural that with the increase in wages, the cost of handmade carpets will increase and people will be more inclined towards machine-made carpets, carpets or other alternatives.
He said that Iranian hand-woven carpets are exported to all countries, adding that European countries have a great desire to use Iranian hand-woven carpets, especially second-hand hand-woven carpets, but the European market is currently facing an economic crisis.
The head of the union of hand-woven carpet sellers added: The United States was one of the countries importing carpets, but at present the import of Iranian carpets to the United States is a sanction, which of course has nothing to do with nuclear sanctions.
Al-Araqchi said: Due to the high numbers traded in this class, it is usually sold in installments, especially those who sell carpets to exporters. It is natural that the method is to receive in installments and the use of card readers can not be forced.
He said: Using a card reader will cause more organization and transparency, but this should be done according to the way the guilds operate, and we have also submitted our opinions to the guild chamber.
