Jahansaz, stating that Gilan is an important center of tea in the country, said: The province’s tea industry is in better condition compared to 20 years ago.
He stated that about 25,000 hectares of paddy lands in the province are under tea cultivation, and specified: tea production is done in 13 cities of the province.

Jahansaz emphasized that the guaranteed purchase is not in the interest of tea growers because it is considered with the minimum profit, and said: the guaranteed price of first grade green tea leaves has increased by 50% and second grade by 27% compared to the past.
He stated that the tea harvest in the province started on May 30 and is still going on: So far, 49,000 tons of green tea leaves have been purchased from tea growers, which is a 4% increase in the purchase of green tea leaves from tea growers compared to last year. We have.
