12000 meter handwoven carpet depot in North Khorasan
The head of the carpet department of the North Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization announced a 12,000 square meter depot of handwoven carpets in the North Khorasan.
Sanaz Abbaspour added: This has happened due to the recession in the carpet market.
He continued: To solve this problem, this organization has implemented a support plan in which every 20 weavers are covered by one person who works according to the order.
Abbaspour also announced the holding of an education and employment plan next year, stating: This plan will be held for people under 30 years of age.
He said: According to the plans, about 400 people from the same province will receive these trainings.
The official explained that during the implementation of this project, 48,800 people will be trained for hours, explaining: training the texture of hand-woven carpets and familiarity with the correct weaving methods is one of the goals of this project.
He said: Carpet weaving is one of the problems of this industry in the province according to the lack of customers’ tastes, and these problems will be solved by holding these trainings.
This province has 600 hand-woven carpet weavers.
