The director of horticulture, stating that the harvest of rotab in Bushehr province has ended, acknowledged: Rotab is the second crop of palms in Bushehr province and palm growers have harvested 46,500 tons of rotb from groves since mid-July, which is about 4,000 tons more than a year has passed.

Ahmadi mentioned Kabkab, Ostomaran, Shekar and Shahabi as the most cultivars of Rotab in Bushehr province and acknowledged: Rotab of Bushehr province has been sent to Tehran, Isfahan, Fars, Khorasan Razavi, Kohgiluyeh and Boyerahmad.

He pointed out that there are 40,350 hectares of palm groves in Bushehr province with 6,290,000 palms. He said that palm growers produced 160,000 tons of dates last year, which this year, due to the proper management of palm growers, especially in water distribution and pruning. Trees are projected to increase by 15% to 175,000 tons.
