Two thousand hectares of new pistachio orchards are to be built in Fars in the next few months.
By the 15th of May, two thousand hectares of pistachio orchards in Fars will be ready and this capacity will be expanded according to the existing demand, said Engineer Gheibi, director general of the Pistachio Office of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture, on the sidelines of a visit to Fars potential areas for pistachio production.
He stated that we will not have any restrictions to increase pistachio orchards in Fars, noting that potential areas in Fars, including Neyriz and Sarvestan for pistachio cultivation have been identified and the necessary conditions for creating these orchards have been provided, so applicants for loans They will be introduced to the banks.
Gheibi stated: In the development plan, Fars was considered as an important hub in the country’s pistachio production and we hope that with the welcome of gardeners, Fars will become an important center of pistachio production in the next few years.
