22% growth in pistachio exports
The Deputy Minister of Trade Aid of the Trade Development Organization of Iran, pointing out that last year the export of pistachios was equal to 928 million dollars, said: This is while the export of pistachios in 1387 was 721 million dollars, which indicates a growth of 22 percent.
Kumars Fathollah Kermanshahi added: Currently, Iranian pistachios are exported to 90 countries and 20% of the market for this product belongs to European countries.
He stated about the problems of this class: the amount of pistachio production in each year is different in terms of rainfall and fertility of orchards; Also, pistachio producers and exporters have been forced to supply the entire product to international markets due to the lack of suitable storage space.
Kermanshahi, pointing out that the establishment of export terminals, pistachios control the fluctuations of international markets, added: Soon, the pistachio export terminal will be set up in Kerman province to build fluctuations of pistachios to control fluctuations in international markets.
According to the Public Relations of the Trade Development Organization, he said that the success in the field of pistachio export is the result of cooperation and coordination of governmental and non-governmental organizations, especially gardeners and exporters.
