Mohammad Vali Roozbehan stated: Since the beginning of the harvest, 74,000 tons of green tea leaves worth 120 billion Tomans have been purchased from tea growers, which is about 19% more than the total tea produced last year, because last year about 65,000 tons of green tea leaves Produced and purchased.
He added: This year, despite the government’s financial constraints, we have tried to pay their claims as soon as they are secured, and so far we have managed to transfer 84 billion tomans of their claims to their accounts, and we intend to repay the rest of their claims as soon as they are secured. The head of the Tea Organization continued: According to estimates, about 85,000 tons of green tea leaves will be produced this year. But he stated: This year, Iranians have welcomed Iranian tea; At present, there is not much domestically produced tea in tea processing factories and more than 90% of it has been bought by people and traders, which should be thanked to the people.

According to the customs statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran, 19,200 tons of fermented black tea worth $ 91 million have been imported from 9 countries: China, Slovakia, UAE, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Surina, Kenya, India and Vietnam.
