The governor of Rasht, stating that the city of Rasht has 62,000 hectares of paddy lands, said: In the new year, we are witnessing a 30% increase in the reception of farmers in the city of Rasht for the preparation of improved rice seeds.
Ali Fathollahi stated today in the meeting of Rasht Water Resources Protection Council on the subject of agricultural water supply: Agriculture is considered the main pillar of Gilan economy and protection of water resources is one of the development indicators of this field.
The governor of Rasht, stating that agricultural programs and other programs should not be marginalized due to the upcoming elections, said: Obstacles and problems of agriculture in the working groups should be identified and solutions should be provided to be solved through the relevant apparatus and the private sector.
He pointed out that agriculture is one of the main priorities of the governorate and districts in the first six months of 1400, he said: using all capacities to dredge rivers and streams should be a priority to address the concerns of farmers in the city regarding agricultural water supply.

Fathollahi, pointing out that Rasht city has 62,000 hectares of paddy lands, said: In the new crop year, rice farmers in Rasht, by preparing 200 tons of improved seeds from the Jihad Agricultural Office until today, have witnessed a 30% increase in farmers’ acceptance of preparing improved seeds.
