30% reduction in date production in Abadan

The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Abadan city said: it is predicted that 50,000 tons of dates will be harvested from Abadan groves this year.
Idrispour said: Due to the occurrence of drought, this year’s date crop will be reduced by about 30% compared to last year.
He added: The amount of dates harvested last year was 70,000 tons, which we predict will decrease to about 50,000 tons this year. Dust has been effective in reducing the production of dates this year.
Idrispour said: The harvest of rotab has already started and the harvest of dates will be from the second half of September, which will continue until the beginning of November.
The director of Abadan Agricultural Jihad stated: We advise farmers to observe and pay attention to the recommendations of extension experts, to harvest a healthy product to witness the production of quality and hygienic dates. By observing health, we can produce a product that can compete with other provinces.
