36,000 tons of grapes are harvested from Lorestan orchards

The horticulture director of the Lorestan Agricultural Jihad Organization said: It is predicted that 36,000 tons of Asgari blue grapes will be harvested from the province’s orchards this year.

Citing the public relations of the province’s agricultural jihad, Behrouz Baharvand added: Currently, 4896 hectares of the province’s gardens are under cultivation of this crop.

He added: Most of the province’s Asgari Asgari vineyards have been built in Khorramabad and Boroujerd. The quality of this product is very good in Khorramabad.

Baharvand stated that the harvest of this product per hectare of the province’s orchards is eight tons and said: the grape harvest has started from the orchards of the province and will continue until the end of October.

According to Baharvand, the production of new varieties of thick-skinned grapes with high durability for long shifts is currently on the agenda.

It is to be said; Out of a total of more than 54,000 hectares of gardens in the province, about half are fertile.
