43,000 hectares of grapes in Kermanshah province
Horticulture director of Kermanshah Agricultural Jihad Organization said: 95 thousand and 872 tons of grapes are produced annually in this province and sent to the domestic and foreign markets of the province.
Reza Zarei said: the area of orchards in the province is over 43 thousand hectares and of this area about 10 thousand and 55 hectares are related to grape products with different cultivars, of which about 9 thousand and 175 hectares are fertile and the rest are infertile.
Zarei enumerated the grape cultivars cultivated in the province including raisins, Asgari, Peykani, Shahroudi, Yaghouti, Siah, Shahini, Halgoo, fox tail and perlite.
He announced the highest level of grapes in Sahneh city and pointed out: there are about 2,106 hectares of grapes in this city.
He mentioned other cities as Kermanshah with 1831 hectares, Qasr Shirin with 1627 hectares, Paveh with 731 hectares, Javanroud with 606 hectares, Sangroukliai with 553 hectares and the rest of the cities, respectively.
