Mehdi Gheibollahi, director of Abarkooh Agricultural Jihad, referring to the end of the grape harvest season in this city, said: This amount of production has increased by 5% compared to the previous year, and the reason for its growth is the low demand for the product and farmers’ efforts in harvesting.

He added: The average production of this product is 16 tons per hectare, which has been harvested up to 24 tons in some Abarkooh vineyards.

Gheib Elahi, stating that the production of this product is more than the gardens of Faragheh and Alavi region, continued: Another reason for the increase in production in some gardens of this city is the attention of farmers to the recommendations of experts in the field of fertilization, irrigation and timely pruning of trees.

He mentioned the grape cultivars produced in Abarkooh, Mesghali, Rish Baba, Askari, Shahani and Yaghouti and added: in addition to supplying and eating fresh food in the city, it has also been offered to the markets of neighboring cities.

Abarkooh arable lands have been reduced from 20,000 hectares to 15,000 hectares in recent years due to reduced rainfall, water shortage and the continuation of two decades of drought. They produce tons of agricultural and livestock products in this way.
