The director of horticulture of the North Khorasan Agricultural Jihad Organization announced a five percent increase in almond production in the province’s orchards.

Mohammad Ali Sharikian, pointing out that the area under cultivation of almond orchards in this province is five thousand and 90 hectares, said: out of this area, four thousand and 687 hectares have been fertilized.

He said that the average production of this product in North Khorasan is 2,417 tons, adding: Production will increase by five percent this year.
