50% increase in grape harvest in Kowsar city

Ghaffar Shabani added: The autumn grape harvest has started from the surface of Kowsar vineyards.
He mentioned the area of Kowsar vineyards as 120 hectares and said: of this amount, 110 hectares are irrigated vineyards and 10 hectares are rainfed.
The director of Kowsar Agricultural Jihad predicted that eight tons of grapes would be harvested from Kowsar vineyards this year.
Shabani mentioned the favorable weather conditions, paying attention to the technical recommendations of horticultural experts, the preservation of plants by gardeners and also increasing the level of fertile orchards as the reasons for increasing the yield.
He mentioned the consumption of grapes in the city, partly as fresh food and the rest as grape juice, juice and most of it is raisin production.
The director of Kowsar Agricultural Jihad added: The problem of farmers in the region is the lack of regular organizations for uniform packaging and transportation of products to other regions of the country.
Sha’bani said: the necessary measures have been taken to establish a product packaging center and by implementing it, farmers will benefit more.
According to him, Kowsar is ranked second in Ardabil province in terms of grape cultivation and production.
Kowsar city has 50,000 hectares of agriculture and horticulture, which annually produces 25,000 tons of garden products in this city.
