50,000 tons of dates are harvested from Shadegan palm trees
About 45,000 to 50,000 tons of dates are expected to be harvested from Shadegan groves this year.
Khajeh, the director of Shadegan Agricultural Jihad, explained: If after the purchase of the private sector, the dates of Shadegan farmers are left, this product will be guaranteed to be purchased.
There are 2 million palm trees in Shadegan, he said. The project of reforming the structure of palm trees in Shadegan groves is underway due to the existence of old and uneconomical palms in this area.
The palms of Shadegan are more of a colonial type, Khajeh noted.
Last year, 46,000 tons of dates were harvested from Shadegan groves, he said.
