The director of Khorramshahr Agricultural Jihad said: it is predicted that 6,050 tons of dates will be harvested from the city’s date palms this year.

Nader Pourrakani explained: The guaranteed purchase price of dates has been set at 375 Tomans, but the agreed purchase price has not been announced yet.

He added: With the occurrence of the storm last week, 25% of the date crop, amounting to 975 tons, has been destroyed and has caused a lot of damage to palm trees.

The guaranteed purchase of dates will start on the 15th of October and the agreed purchase will start from the date of harvest, Pourrakni said. The agreed purchase price of dates will be higher than the guaranteed purchase price.
