Rezapour Fallah, stating that the city of Sari has a high capacity in the production of medicinal plants, said: Considering that medicinal plants guarantee the health of individuals, it plays an essential role in creating employment and developing the economy of households, especially in rural areas.

The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Sari city added: it is possible to return the unbroken lands to the production cycle by cultivating medicinal plants and employ some of the unemployed graduates of agricultural fields.

He pointed out that in recent years, the cultivation of damask rose has been booming, he said: 284 hectares of land in the upper areas of the city is dedicated to the cultivation of damask rose, which is expected to add another 90 hectares this year.

Pourfallah said: Processing, conversion industries and trade are important issues in the production of medicinal plants, especially damask rose, which raises many concerns for producers in this sector.
