90% of Darreh Shahr craftsmen are women

The head of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts in the city said:
Since the beginning of this year, four workshop production licenses and 50 individual production licenses for handicrafts have been issued to activists in this field.
Seyed Mojtaba Farhadi stated:
Booming activities related to handicrafts and targeting in order to generate more income and provide facilities from the villages of the central part of the city of Darrehshahr have started and the perspective of this activity is all the villages of the province.
Handicrafts are one of the most important factors in creating jobs and economic prosperity, and the issuance of more production licenses in various fields of handicrafts can be effective in preserving this heritage, he said.
He stated that 7 fields of handicrafts are active in Darrehshahr city, including embossed kilims, cutting precious stones, jewelry, jajim weaving, making traditional instruments, bags, leather making and pottery, and specified:
In order to strengthen and support this section of the National Development Fund, 7 active workshops in this city were handed over to 30 low-income banking facilities with the employment of 30 people.
