Algerian Handicrafts Week was held in Iran
Public Relations and Cultural Affairs of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization; Sefian Meymouni, Algerian Ambassador to Iran, said: In Iran, at the same time, inspiration is drawn from Iran’s experience in this field.
Oba said that holding this week is trying to bring the two nations of Iran and Algeria closer together. Exchanging experiences in the field of handicrafts between the two countries is another important goal of holding this week. There will be workshops in this area. In this regard, 5 Algerian artists will be present in the workshops in the field of precious and semi-precious stones and standards in carpet quality.
Emphasizing the richness and diversity of Algerian handicrafts, Sufian Monkey said: Algeria’s location at the crossroads of the three Arab, Mediterranean and African worlds has made this land a breeding ground for conflicts and exchanges, which is why Algeria has such a richness in handicrafts. Explains.
He added: The diversity of climatic conditions, natural resources and different civilizations in Algeria has led to a wide range of specialties in this field, including jewelry, copper, pottery, ceramics, leather, mat weaving, embroidery and so on.
The Algerian ambassador to Iran reminded: Visitors to this exhibition have the opportunity to discover different aspects of Algerian handicrafts and can be inspired by the construction techniques used by Algerian artists.
Regarding the holding of the Iranian Handicrafts Week in Algeria, he said: For the first time in July 2010, Isfahan province had the opportunity to display its rich handicrafts in Algeria. Following this trend, the Iranian Handicrafts Exhibition will be held in Algeria this year.
Sofian Meymouni considered the Iranian handicrafts to be very rich and with considerable elegance, noting that the genius of Iranian artists is reflected in the variety, beauty, power of creation and elegance of handicraft products.
He emphasized: My travels to Isfahan, Shiraz and many other cities in Iran have enabled me to have an overview of the diversity, richness and skills of Iranian artists who undoubtedly have certain knowledge and experience in this field.
The Algerian ambassador to Iran further said: The Algerian handicrafts week in Iran will be held with an official opening ceremony on February 26, equal to March 28, at the Blue Hall of Niavaran Palace.
Sefian Monkey said: In this exhibition, various works of Algerian handicrafts such as jewelry, traditional clothes, carpets and ceramics will be displayed. There will also be a tent at the fair, which will be served with traditional Algerian tea and sweets.
He also mentioned the holding of a dinner party to get acquainted with the culinary art of Algeria and the performance of Algerian music during this week in Tehran as other programs of this exhibition.
