Export of Iranian handicrafts to Arab countries
Mohammad Abdullahi, president of the Union of Traders of Handicrafts and Old Objects, said about the latest situation of handicrafts in the market: Currently, due to the last days of the year, we do not have a price increase for handicrafts.
Currently, the market is not booming and sales have been minimized, which can be identified in exports and the target market, he said.
According to Abdullahi, handicrafts are exported to Arab countries.
Asked what strategies and programs the government could take to improve the industrial market, the head of the Handicrafts Traders’ Union said: The situation must be such that the number of tourists in the market increases because it can cycle the supply and production market. Speed up.
With government support, packages have been prepared that can be given to employees and politicians as gifts at national and religious ceremonies, which can help boost the culture of handicrafts, he said.
Abdullahi added:
Our most important problem in the field of handicrafts is that we have not standardized and branded manufactured goods. If handicrafts trustees want to support handicraft artists and the handicraft market is booming, taste must be done. On the other hand, create a suitable market for selling products.
We hope that with the support of the relevant organizations, handicrafts will be able to compete in the target markets, said the head of the union of vendors.
Noting that 5% of the workshops have been closed, Abdullahi added:
Improving the infrastructure will lead to solving the problems of various industries, including handicrafts.
