30% increase in handicrafts education in Semnan
The director general of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of Semnan province said:
the training of short-term courses of handicrafts in Semnan province will increase by 30% compared to last year.
Mehdi Jamal, on June 15, 2020, while visiting handicraft workshops in Mahdishahr, stated: Last year, more than 100 people participated in short-term training courses, and this year, this number will reach more than 300 people.
The development of handicrafts paves the way for increased employment and economic growth, he said, referring to the department’s acceleration of the issuance and renewal of more than 400 production and home business licenses during the Corona outbreak.
Emphasizing that the share of active participation of industrial craftsmen in Semnan province in national and regional exhibitions should be increased, Jamal added: The presence of handicrafts artists in live exhibitions is effective in introducing the art of handicrafts and artists in this province.
Referring to the importance of selling handicraft products through cyberspace, he said: Handicraft artists should also pay special attention to the export of their products.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Semnan Province said: Paying facilities to artists and holding exhibitions of regional and provincial handicrafts in the post-Corona period are among the programs of this department to support handicrafts artists.
