Exports of more than $ 16 million in West Azerbaijan handicrafts
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of West Azerbaijan announced the export of more than $ 16 million in handicrafts in the province last year.
Jalil Jabbari in a press conference held on the sidelines of the news tour of Soleh Dukel waterfall in front of reporters, referring to the support in order to maintain employment in the field of handicrafts, promotion of handicraft workshops, including masonry, is one of the important programs of this department. Jari added: Over the past year, more than $ 16 million worth of handicrafts were exported by artists and craftsmen in the province, of which $ 12 million was official and the rest was luggage.
He said that the demand for investment in the province has increased, adding that it is necessary to eliminate administrative bureaucracy and investment barriers in the province so that investors are more willing to invest in the province. The region will prosper more.
He stated that accommodation centers, hotels and guesthouses were closed due to the start of Corona in March, adding: the amount of damage to the tourism sector of the province is estimated at nearly 40 billion tomans.
Jabbari continued: By improving the conditions and removing the restrictions, all accommodation centers and tourist tours will continue their activities in compliance with health protocols.
The director general of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of the province, referring to the provision of support packages, said: the support package in the field of tourism will be paid in order to provide part of the damages caused by the closure of Corona.
He pointed to the holding of unauthorized tours these days and said: In no way were the unauthorized tours approved by the General Administration and we will deal with these tours seriously.
Jabbari pointed to the plans of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage in the year of production jump and added: the implementation of 682 projects with employment for 1861 people is on the agenda of the General Directorate this year, the facilities required for this amount of project is 385 billion tomans.
