The head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Torbat-e Heydarieh and Zaveh said: With the efforts made, the first house of handicrafts and tourism in Zaveh has been opened and we will soon see the revival of many obsolete fields.
Ali Mohammadi stated: Because Zaveh’s handicrafts have flourished in the fields of felt-tipping, stone-cutting and double-edging, the credit of 900 million rials has been allocated for changing the use and equipping the handicraft house.
He continued: Now in Zaveh city, 100 artists are active in more than eight disciplines, including felt weaving, fret weaving, making traditional instruments, cutting precious and semi-precious stones, traditional blacksmithing, kilim weaving, traditional knife making, silk weaving, fortunately with the facilities paid. Good employment has been created in this area and so far it has been well received, especially in the villages.
The head of cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism in Torbat-e-Heydariyeh and Zaveh said: Some of the fields that have been well received have found their target market, and even the approach of support institutions such as welfare and relief committee has changed to handicrafts.
He said: In the past, felt was only used for clothing, but now, because medical issues have been raised, it has been well received. Currently, some obsolete disciplines, such as felt-tip pens, are booming again because most young people have turned to handicrafts. Has resumed.
Mohammadi went on to say that all 100 artists in Zaveh County have ID cards and certificates.
The head of cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism of Torbat-e-Heydariyeh and Zaveh city considered education, production and supply of handicrafts as one of the main approaches of the city and added: Currently, 60 handicrafts and handicraft workshops are active at home and 40 workshops in groups in the city.
He stated: considering that last year 4 billion Rials of facilities were paid to artists, this year one of the main priorities will be to pay facilities to artists; Also, attention to rural capacities such as tourism, eco-tourism accommodation and proper organization and reuse of landmarks, study, identification and archaeological excavations are among the approaches and priorities of this year.
