The director general of Lorestan’s cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts says:
The people of this land have an inseparable connection with handicrafts.
Seyed Amin Ghasemi pointed to the background of the right industries in Lorestan and added:
the first products of these industries; The stone manuscripts discovered were prehistoric, Kunji and Pasangar residential caves in Khorramabad, which were built by its inhabitants about 40,000-35,000 years ago.
He continued:
Lorestan has an inseparable connection with handicrafts and the people of this land have always had significant activities in this sector.
Ghasemi added:
Most of Lorestan’s handicrafts have special uses, and knowing their benefits have been made to meet their own needs, and some of them are still being produced.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Lorestan, referring to the pottery that was mostly made by Lorestani women, stated:
The date of this pottery is related to the 7th-8th millennium BC.
He added that pottery had many uses:
These pottery shows maps that show the creators’ inner feelings and thoughts about the world around them.
Ghasemi added:
These images are usually plant, geometric, animal, which are drawn on the dishes with artistic elegance and precision. In pottery fragments from hills and ancient sites, especially the New Garden and the Khorramabad Masur, a variety of these geometric patterns are on display.
