World Appraisers of Handicrafts in Shiraz

The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Fars Province said: The evaluators of the World Handicrafts Council will travel to Shiraz in two weeks.
Mosayeb Amiri said: the evaluators of the World Handicrafts Council will travel to Shiraz in two weeks in connection with the case of Shiraz World City.
He said that during the trip, the assessors of the World Handicrafts Council will get acquainted with the activities of handicrafts in Shiraz. He had handicrafts and emphasized the registration of Shiraz in the list of world handicraft cities.
Amiri reminded that last year we saw the place of Abadeh inlays in the world list, and said: According to the plans, Gabbeh and the hand-woven fabrics of Fars province will soon join the global list of handicrafts.
Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Fars Province said: Shiraz is the origin of traditional arts such as Khatam, seven-color tiles and engraving, and other handicrafts of this city have always been of interest to tourists and have a national and global reputation.
Amiri continued: Considering the presence of the evaluators of the World Handicrafts Council with the intention of visiting and evaluating the handicraft production workshops in Shiraz, we expect that Shiraz will be introduced as a world city of handicrafts in the next two months.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage of Fars Province said: Currently, there are more than 40 active handicrafts in Shiraz, and the traditional arts and crafts of this city can be registered in the world list.
According to the results of the third Strategic Council for the Selection of National Cities and Villages, which was held on July 22 this year, Shiraz became the national city of Iranian handicrafts.
Currently, the case of registration of Shiraz as a world city of handicrafts has been sent to the World Council, and if the opinion of the evaluators sent to this city is positive, Shirai will win this title.
