The head of Kerman province’s deputy for handicrafts said: Soon, the first rural creation center for handicrafts in Kerman will be set up in Hotak village.

Kazem Hosseinzadeh, Deputy Head of Handicrafts of Kerman General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, pointed out that the establishment of the Center for Rural Creation of Handicrafts in the target villages of handicrafts is one of the main goals of Kerman General Directorate of Cultural Heritage.
The creation of handicrafts will be launched in the village of Hotak in Kerman, which has a lot of potential and historical background in the field of handicrafts.

He said that the center will start working on training, development and promotion of the weaving field at the beginning of the work, adding that those interested can learn weaving training with the presence of prominent weaving professors in this center.

Hosseinzadeh pointed out that the village of Hotak has a small number of weaving artists, adding: We hope that with the establishment of this center, we will be able to see an increase in the number of artists as well as the mass production of this traditional and indigenous art of the province.

He said that the center will start with 5 workshops: Currently, the center will be centered on weaving, and over time, other traditional arts such as kilim weaving, embroidery, copper engraving, etc. Will be added.
