Women’s activity in handicraft products of Ivan city
Jafar Jafari, head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Department of Ivan, said: 80% of the artists of Ivan’s handicrafts are women.
He continued: 14 handicrafts are active in this city and other handicrafts are semi-active.
Jafari said: Last year, employment was created for 80 porch artists through handicrafts, and four workshops, including 24, were introduced to the operating banks to receive facilities.
He said: This year, three handicraft projects have been sent to the bank for approval, and with their activation, 6 jobs will be created.
The head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Department of Ivan stated: We have agreed to request the establishment of an enameling workshop in this city and a suitable place has been provided for the implementation of this project, but so far the applicant has not applied for the project.
He added: Other artists in the field of decorative stone carving also get a good activity and income in this way.
Jafari added: Currently, the fields of kilim weaving, jajim weaving, felt weaving, leather industry, chit weaving, mosaic, coppersmithing, turquoise weaving, mat weaving, pottery and design in active porch and artists in this field are producing these handicrafts.
