Daliri, in charge of the handicraft production workshop from Birjand, said: The creation of handicraft production workshops, on the one hand, is the revival of handicrafts, and on the other hand, it has income for female students in these production workshops.

Noting that it has been a year since the workshop was launched, he added: 200 Tabas women work in 5 disciplines: mat weaving, towel weaving, basket weaving, engraving on copper and black pen.

Referring to the revival of the art of mat weaving in Tabas, Daliri said: Inside this workshop, we have been able to make different types of baskets with the white and green leaves of the date palm tree.

The head of the handicrafts production workshop continued: The weaving string can be used to make utensils such as chocolate, vases, candies and decorations using wheat stalks.

Daliri stated that Tabasi women’s products need a suitable market for sale: in this workshop, about 30 people are directly and indirectly working, and with the support of the authorities, this workshop can be expanded.
