He added: Another major factor in the stagnation of the carpet market was the production and oversupply of this product in foreign markets, which reduced the demand, the Iranian carpet lost its value.
Miri acknowledged that the stagnation in the export of carpets, traders and exporters led to domestic markets, and this caused the recession in the domestic economy to affect the handmade carpet market.
Razi Miri stated that the return of capital in the export market of turtle carpets is like a turtle, adding: Carpets are not like vital and strategic goods and the return of capital in this trade is time consuming and long and may even be our depot goods after a few years Europe will return.
He suggested: In my opinion, the best way to save the carpet market from the current severe recession is to rebuild our markets, and the government should provide more space for carpet exports, and activists in this sector should have their own business culture. Change and adhere to the economic rules of the market.
He concluded: Although the post-apocalyptic situation is paving the way for trade and commerce, and global banks are cooperating more, we need to think about creating global customers and new international markets, rather than turning off the light industry. Don’t.
Carpet exports are not desirable
Hassan, a shop that produces handmade carpets, said that handmade carpets, like other items in the country, have experienced a recession. This is due to the lack of planning and economic recession in the country, which has unfortunately reduced sales to zero, he said.
He stressed: Currently, the export of this product is not appropriate and a plan should be considered in this regard.
Emphasizing that India, China and Afghanistan have taken over the carpet market due to sanctions on Iran, the shopkeepers said: Now that the sanctions have been lifted, the country’s officials must plan to get the lost market otherwise. Handmade carpets will be remembered.
The producer added: Unfortunately, due to the lack of customers, most of the products are stored in warehouses, while most of the products were exported abroad, but due to the lack of a principled program, the customer continues to be buried.
He pointed out that Iranian carpets play a leading role in global markets after oil, saying: Currently, due to the lack of liquidity in the market community, this product has been challenged. Measures must be taken in this regard.
He added: Perhaps Borjam will be influential in this industry in the near future. We have to wait and see what plans the officials have to revive the market for this carpet.
The bank needs to think about creating global customers and new international markets so that the light of the hand-woven carpet export industry does not go out.
