Hanover hosts Iranian carpets
The German Demotex exhibition is the title of the exhibition that is held every year in Hanover, as the largest carpet and flooring exhibition in the world.
Hamidreza Zolanvari, CEO of Zolanvari Carpet Collection, said about holding this exhibition: Demotex Germany 2018 Exhibition was held with the presence of industry leaders and most manufacturing companies, and Zolanvari Carpet was also active in the handmade carpets and flooring section.
Explaining that in addition to Iran, hand-woven carpets from India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal and China also participated in the section, he said: It has been well received by activists and visitors to the industry.
A member of the board of directors of the Iranian Carpet Union said about the activities that took place in this exhibition: For 13 years, a competition has been held in this exhibition in various fields of art (creativity, design, role, color, etc.) and in each field 3 The selected person and one person will be introduced as the final choice; This year, Zulvanwari carpet became a finalist in two disciplines, and in previous years, it has won awards in 9 competitions.
Zolanvari, pointing out that Iranians shone in this exhibition, added: In the competition for the best designs of Demotex 2018, Iranian companies present in the exhibition won 4 statues.
The President of the Union of Manufacturers and Exporters of Handmade Carpets of Fars Province also said: In the German Demotex 2018 exhibition, an event called Carpet Design Award will be held in 10 different sections. Ms. Leila Valdan received 2 statues and Lotfi brothers received one The statue was a source of pride for Iran.
Zolvanwari added: Demotex exhibition this year was able to create a different atmosphere by changing the location of the halls and the new layout, and more than 30 Iranian participants in a space of 4,000 square meters (net) achieved significant success.
A member of the board of directors of the Iranian Carpet Union continued: During the exhibition, Zolanvari Carpet Booth had special visitors, including the Tunisian Minister of Handicrafts Tourism and Hamid Kargar, President of the National Carpet Center of Iran, and the accompanying delegation.
Considering that the country’s handmade carpets are not in a significant condition, he added: Visitors and activists of this industry visited Zolanvari booth in the exhibition and this booth was noticed by them.
Demotex exhibition was held from January 12 to 15, 2018 in Hanover, Germany.
