One of the problems in the field of carpet weaving and kilim weaving in the province, which has been mentioned by the trustees in various interviews, roundtables and speeches, is the low presence of men in this field, so we are following the words of one of the men who has been doing this for 12 years. The weaver pointed out: In the production cycle of the relief committee, the distribution of raw materials, supervision and training is commendable, which did not cause problems for the weavers. However, marketing and sale of the product is done by the relief committee, which not only eliminates the sales concerns for weavers. , But sell the product at the discretion of the weaver.
Afshari emphasized that holding training classes for people who have no job can be motivating, continued: In these training courses, the income level of the carpet industry will be explained to job seekers to young people who are in the rural and even downtown unemployment season. The southern regions migrate for employment, keep it in their residential area, because this art industry should be considered not as a seasonal occupation but as an annual source of income.
He prefers weaving at home to a workshop and says: The workshop environment is better and more suitable in terms of education, but in terms of weaving, the house is better than the workshop due to time constraints, even on holidays. Of course, the workshop environment is for weavers who lack Having a space in the house or not being able to weave due to the dissatisfaction of the neighbors is a good situation.
Afshari pointed out: The other period of these words is that carpet weaving is considered a woman’s job, because my weaving has been questioned many times by men on the street and in the bazaar, and often because, like other young people, she has not spent her time in vain and despite her thoughts. I work in the weaving industry, I have been admired.
The weaver reminded: One of the reasons for the success of men in this profession is the high physical strength they have in using the shoulder. On the other hand, they are not far behind women in the speed of hand weaving, but another thing that can be mentioned is that women They are much more sensitive in mapping than men, which slows down the work, but the gentlemen are sure of their texture and memorize the weave by drawing the map in their minds.
In the end, Afshari said: I have not applied for bank facilities so far. Fortunately, after applying for a loan to the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee, I was included in the list of recipients of bank facilities, but despite the response of this support institution, only one question remains unanswered.
