Privatization in handicrafts has stopped

The Deputy Minister of Traditional Arts and Handicrafts said: The privatization of handicrafts has been stopped until the expert body of non-governmental organizations is empowered.
Yahya Rahmati explained about the process of privatization of handicrafts in the country, which was approved by the previous government and according to which, some unions took action to hold handicrafts exhibitions according to the contracts with this deputy. However, the issue of holding some exhibitions by the private sector and unions is completely different from that resolution. Usually some unions ask us to hold handicraft fairs, which we, as the public sector, provide only a part of the cost of, and this is not new and has existed in the past. Booths at these exhibitions are usually not given to artists for free, and no one has to attend these exhibitions to later protest the fees they receive.
He continued: The exhibitions held by the unions and the private sector are completely separate and different from the provincial handicraft exhibitions that we hold, and the holding of those private exhibitions does not cause the closure of provincial exhibitions.
Rahmati emphasized: In privatization, the issue of handing over exhibitions is not discussed, but the main issue is handing over part of the tasks to private organizations, which includes issuing licenses (workshop license and ID card), which is still practically due to limitations in the expert body of organizations. Has not been.
The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts stated: The purpose of handing over these licenses is also to facilitate things, not to cause a drop in work. Under these circumstances, when the private sector is not empowered, the transfer of these affairs will cause problems for the craftsman, so the privatization process will stop until the expert body of NGOs is empowered, until we can be sure that the private sector and organizations are ready to accept. They have this responsibility.
You should not worry; In any case, the issue of privatization and activation of the private sector is on the agenda of every government; but this is done to facilitate things, not to slow things down.
Regarding the views of the head of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization on privatization, considering that its approval is related to the previous government, the Deputy Minister of Handicrafts said: Mr. Najafi believes in expert work and has asked us for expert reports and his statements are based on this. Will be a report. We are now in the process of compiling information that, after assessing the capabilities of the provinces and NGOs, the harms and benefits of privatization, we will submit a comprehensive report to the head of the organization to make the final decision.
