Revival of extinct handicrafts in Boroujerd and Ashtrinan

The representative of the people of Boroujerd and Ashtrinan in the Islamic Consultative Assembly called for the revival of the extinct handicrafts of these cities.

Aladdin Boroujerdi, visiting the three-year exhibition of handicrafts in Boroujerd, added: The opening of this exhibition is the beginning of the road and we are not satisfied with this.

He rejected: This exhibition is the starting point of the road and it will definitely be valuable and useful and its comprehensive plan should be seen.

The representative of the people of Boroujerd and Ashtrinan in the parliament stated: This action should give hope to many artists who speak with a frustration and encourage the new generation.

Mehdi Sharif Taba, head of the Boroujerd Department of Industry, Mines and Trade, also said: This exhibition has been established in this place for three years with the cooperation of the Boroujerd Handicrafts Union.

He added: This exhibition has 20 booths for the production and supply of various handicrafts in Boroujerd, such as Warsaw, kilim and mashteh, engraving, wood industries.

He stated that a booth has been set up for the sale of traditional foods of the city, adding that the purpose of setting up this exhibition is to support handicraft artists and to introduce the handicrafts of the city as much as possible.

The current location of the exhibition has been leased for three years from education so that the craftsmen can produce without any worries, Sharif said.
