Director General of Cultural Heritage of Zanjan Province, pointing out that filigree art has been popular in Zanjan in different eras, and is one of the original arts of Zanjan city, said: in order to bring the value of this art to the forefront, we must register this industry in the name of Zanjan.
He continued: With the national registration of this city, the geographical originality of filigree can be preserved, and also this national registration creates regional sweat and national pride to preserve this original art.
Rahmati added: UNESCO declares the cities that produce special cultural products, glorious industry and art with historical antiquity as a world city, which in itself creates an opportunity for the promotion and development of that city.
He continued: it is necessary to register a city as a world city during the preliminary steps, and in the first step, that city must be registered as a national city.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage of Zanjan Province said: In this regard, the second strategic council for selecting national cities and villages of handicrafts was held in the historical mansion of Tehran Kushk with the presence of general managers of the provinces, members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly. The first stage was accepted.

The Director General of Cultural Heritage of Zanjan Province, in response to the question of what distinguishes the Zanjan filigree from other provinces, said: Zanjan filigree, due to its original designs and designs, and especially its great delicacy, is of high quality and consumes silver. It is used with a purity of 99.9% known as 100 carat.
Rahmati added: No matter how high the grade of silver used in the filigree is, it increases its delicacy and flexibility, as well as the use of traditional patterns and designs; filigree distinguishes this province from other provinces.
He continued: Currently, there are 200 filigree workshops in the province, and in order to be able to gain a global score in this art, we must increase this amount.
Rahmati also reminded: so far Zanjan has succeeded in receiving 18 national medals in the country, of which three works have received international medals.
