Abuzar Khajoui, head of the agricultural jihad management in Ravar city, said: Saffron is being harvested from 28 hectares of land in Ravar city.

He added: 35 hectares of farms in Ravar city are under saffron cultivation, of which 28 hectares are fertile and can be harvested.

Khajoui specified: Saffron of Ravar city is cultivated in two central parts and mountains of this city and according to the weather conditions, its harvest starts from the beginning of November and continues until the end of November.

He added: In terms of quality, the harvested product is of high quality and this year the harvest yield per hectare is about 4 kg, which is expected to be harvested about 110 kg of saffron in Ravar city.

The head of the agricultural jihad management of Ravar city stated: Due to the reduction of water resources, saffron cultivation is suitable for optimal use of water consumption and changing the cultivation pattern; Therefore, farmers who want to grow plants with low water requirements can use the relevant facilities to change the cultivation pattern.
