Export of 720 thousand dollars of handicrafts from Zanjan
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Zanjan Province announced the export of $ 720,000 worth of handicrafts during the last year.
Amir Arjmand stated: In the field of tourism, various events had been prepared, which with the outbreak of Corona, the main activities went to cyberspace, and so far 21 virtual events have been held.
He pointed out that in the past year, seven travel service offices have received licenses, adding that the number of travel offices in the province has now reached 62. There are also 322 active tourist facilities in the province, including eco-tourism and traditional resorts, hotels and service centers.

He added: To invest in the tourism sector, we have facilitated the issuance of creation and operation licenses. Also, the issuance of the agreement in principle has been reduced to less than a month, and since September of last year, 16 points of agreement in principle have been issued, 7 of which have been put into operation.
The official pointed out that Zanjan was registered as the World City of Tapestry in February of last year, and continued: By the end of this year, the permanent secretariat of the World City of Tapestry will be opened in Zanjan. In a recent year, 14 works of the handicraft index received the national quality mark.
Arjmand referred to the activities carried out for the development of handicraft workshops and employment in this sector and said: Since last year, 578 individual and group workshop licenses have been issued, which have created employment for 882 people and by holding national events and participating in exhibitions, Have a good activity in marketing, advertising and sales.
He announced the revival of two handicraft industries and added: 38 handicraft projects received a total of 3450 million rials in credit, and in the past year we had $ 720,000 in handicraft exports from the province and issued 260 home-based business licenses. Three handicraft markets will also open by the end of next year.
