Akbar Harischian – President of the Carpet Exporters Union – who spoke at the third hand-woven carpet festival in Tehran province, while praising the activists in the field of hand-woven carpets, added: It’s over 10 billion.
He continued: Various events have taken place, the most important of which are the existing sanctions and the economic crisis in the world, which caused the presence of our carpet in the world to diminish.
The activist in the field of carpet production and export added: ‌Currently, with this embargo, new problems arise for us, which we hope we can overcome.
One of the new developments is that we can hardly return the money and currency from our exports to the country and we have to resort to money changers, which has its own costs and risks.
In another part of his speech, he also criticized the authorities and said: The export award that belongs to us is not enough, it does not create the ability to compete with our competitors.
