He pointed out: Ardabil province, despite being located in a special microtrim, including the hazelnut forest, and covers 315 hectares, 250 tons of hazelnut products are extracted annually, which is an average of 900 kg per hectare.

Adli added: In the field of hazelnut development and cultivation, Ardabil Jihad Agricultural Organization has implemented several pilot projects with the help of researchers in recent years, so that we can witness the revival of local hazelnuts with proper location and implementation of these operational plans. .

He announced the three regions of Arpatpe, Aladizgeh and Hoor as these locations and said: in 1389, the offending hazelnut cultivars were planted in Ardabil as a pilot, but unfortunately, every year, the aerial parts of hazelnuts extracted from the Hazelnut region suffer. It gets frosty and the next year the seedlings’ arms grow, which makes us a little discouraged.

The official continued: But in 2015, during the visit of the Deputy Minister of Horticulture to Ardabil, a revival of a 10,000-hectare hazelnut project was presented, which was welcomed by the officials of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture and natural resources in this regard by presenting projects to help the agricultural jihad. Unfortunately, due to the lack of funds, this plan has not been implemented yet.

Adli expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of Mohaghegh Ardabili University and the University Jihad of the province in presenting joint projects in this field and expressed hope that the figures introduced in various hazelnut cultivation areas of the Ardabil Agricultural Jihad could use these research measures to promote cultivation. And develop excellent hazelnut cultivars.
