Increase in peanut production in Astana Ashrafieh city
The governor of Astana-Ashrafieh city announced an increase in peanut production and an increase in the income of Astana-Ashrafieh almond workers.
Rahim Heydari, noting that the city of Astana Ashrafieh is the center of peanut production in the country, said: There are more than 2,500 hectares of almond orchards in this city.
He said that peanuts are one of the special products for business and employment of the people of this region, adding: the establishment of a peanut research center was one of the important demands of the city’s almond growers and fortunately this center was approved by the Jihad Agriculture Organization. Launched.
Heidari, noting that researchers are working in the research center, noted: Almond farmers in the city also welcome the achievements of researchers and this cooperation will lead to increased production.
He noted the importance of this center for farmers: reducing pests is one of the goals of setting up a peanut research station.
The governor of Astana Ashrafieh stated: Increasing the production of peanuts in the city of Astana Ashrafieh will lead to an increase in the income of farmers in this region.
Referring to the production of 90% of the country’s peanut crop in this city, he said: The peanuts harvested in Astana-Ashrafieh city have a financial value of 60 billion Tomans.
Referring to the importance of planting peanuts in the employment of Astana Ashrafieh city, Heydari said: We have a duty to encourage farmers to produce and exploit, and thank God there is no particular problem in the field of agricultural water.
