Mazandaran hazelnut orchards yielded more fruit this year

Horticulture director of Mazandaran Agricultural Jihad Organization said: hazelnut harvest this year has increased by 5% compared to the same period last year in Mazandaran.

Taghi Shokouhi stated: At present, 2300 tons of hazelnut orchards have been harvested in Mazandaran, which has increased by 5% compared to the same period last year.

He continued: This crop has been planted on 1615 hectares of orchards. Ramsar, Tonekabon and Noor are the main hazelnut producing cities in the province.

Shokouhi reminded: Mazandaran ranks third in the country in hazelnut production.

He stated: The area under cultivation of hazelnut orchards in the country is 18,000 hectares with a production of 25,000 tons.

The horticultural director of Mazandaran Agricultural Jihad pointed out: Facilities are provided to gardeners for the development, improvement and revival of hazelnut orchards.

Shokouhi has advised gardeners of this product to refer to Jihad Agricultural Service Centers and use new varieties to develop their gardens.
