Decreased walnut harvest due to frost

Horticulture expert of Zanjan Jihad Agricultural Organization said: due to frost and drought, walnut harvest from gardens in Zanjan province decreased this year.
Saeed Adib stated: It was predicted that 12,500 tons of walnuts would be harvested from the province’s orchards this year, but this amount has decreased by 7,000 tons due to frost and drought.
He continued: This year, 5,600 tons of walnuts were harvested from orchards in Zanjan province, which has significantly decreased compared to last year, and we should make plans to increase this figure.
Adib announced the amount of damage to the province’s gardens as 135 billion rials and added: the amount of walnuts produced in the province last year was 7,500 tons.
