The world price of pistachios should be determined in Kerman
The governor of Kerman, pointing out that 60% of the world’s pistachios and 70% of Iranian pistachios are produced in Kerman province, said: the world price of this product should be determined by Kerman pistachios.
Ismail Najjar added at the meeting of the Supreme Pistachio Headquarters: Despite the problems related to the pistachio product, with a single management, we can control the world market and be a kind of determinant of the price of this product in the world.
He added: If there is no single management in different sectors related to pistachios, while farmers and producers are harmed, in the long run we will see the destruction of pistachio orchards.
To solve the problems of pistachio exporters, Najjar selected the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines of the province as the custodian of organizations to cooperate, make decisions and conclusions in favor of exporters, and said: The quality of the export product will strive.
The governor of Kerman continued: There are 450 billion tomans of credit for various approvals related to the purchase of pistachios in the province, the time of receipt of these credits is not known and the pursuit of attracting these credits will be done through MPs, ministers and managers of various agencies.
He added: In the current season, pistachio harvest will be used to buy pistachios using the Scundi method (banks operating supervise pistachio warehouses) and based on previous experiences in this field, the required credits will be easily available to producers.
The carpenter reminded: in order for the banks not to be obliged to pay facilities to the two groups of producers and exporters, the exporters should buy from the companies created for export.
The governor of Kerman, pointing out that these companies, while guaranteeing this product, provide accident insurance points to exporters, continued: If agriculture has overdue loans to banks, it can introduce the second or third person of the family to the banks to receive facilities to solve the problem. This year, pistachio farmers will be eliminated.
He added: The price of pistachios should be determined expertly so that pistachio products are not offered in the market at a lower price. Najjar, while emphasizing that next week in the Supreme Export Council in Tehran, we will raise the problems related to the province, said: in connection with the allocation of technical and credit budget for the purchase of pistachios by the government, the necessary follow-ups will be done.
The governor of Kerman, stating that the government’s goal is to remove the dollar from the world currency cycle, especially in the Islamic and Commonwealth countries, said: Despite sanctions against Iran, the government has thought of ways to transfer currency to the country.
He added: The United States is compensating for its credit deficit with world dollars and is somehow respectfully committing heinous theft in the world.
Najjar emphasized the use of pressurized irrigation as much as possible to reduce the cost of pistachio production and added: Watershed management and aquifer management projects should be part of the national budget so that we can not do any other planning for it.
He said that solving the water problem of the province requires the passage of time and said: to increase production in the unit level of the Agricultural Jihad Organization has done the necessary follow-up.
The governor of Kerman, pointing out that traditional irrigation can no longer be used, said: Farmers must have the knowledge, experience, issues related to water, fertilizer and soil management to reduce production costs.

Najjar emphasized the support of the banks for the re-launch of the pasteurization company for pistachio products in Rafsanjan and pointed out: in order to make the exported pistachios healthier and reduce the aflatoxin toxin in this product, the activities of this company are essential.
