Pistachio harvest began in Tabas

The director of Tabas Agricultural Jihad, referring to the start of pistachio harvest in this city, predicted the harvest of pistachios from the orchards of this city this year to be 459 tons of dried pistachios, which will increase by 10% compared to last year.
Mahmoud Asadi announced the area of pistachio cultivation in Tabas city as 603 hectares, of which 459 hectares are fertile and 144 hectares are seedlings.
He added: The cultivars cultivated in this city are Ouhadi, Ahmad Aghaei, Akbari and Koleghoochi.
Asadi stated: 450 hectares of pistachio levels in the city are covered by the private sector care network and the rest are covered by the government care network.
The director of Tabas Agricultural Jihad announced the level of fight against pests, diseases and weeds as 46 hectares and added: about 35 tons of chemical fertilizers have been distributed among the gardeners of the city.
He said: in order to process pistachios, gardeners send their products to pistachio terminals in the cities of Birjand, Gonabad, Kerman, Yazd, etc.
