Pistachio harvest from 8500 hectares of Khatam agricultural lands
Governor Khatam announced the beginning of pistachio harvest from 8,500 hectares of agricultural lands in the city and predicted: 11 thousand tons of dried pistachios will be harvested from this area this year.
Seyed Nasser Emami Meybodi, referring to the significant increase in new and non-halal orchards in the city, predicted that Khatam city would become the most important pistachio production hub in Yazd province and the country in the near future.
He evaluated the quality of pistachios produced in this city in terms of special climatic conditions, having hard-working and hard-working agriculture, and its hygienic harvesting and processing, considering the existence of numerous terminals and pistachio recording standard, as very desirable and from Akbari and Ahmad Aghaei cultivars as the most important. Pistachio cultivars for export were named in Khatam city.
