The director of Abhar Agricultural Jihad said: This year, the amount of walnut harvest from these fields is over one thousand tons with green skin.
Javad Mirzaei stated: In the current crop year, over 400 tons of fresh walnuts with green skin were harvested in mid-August, which was offered to the market for consumption, and the remaining 600 tons will be harvested by early autumn this year.
He reminded: the area under walnut tree cultivation in this city is 900 hectares.
Mirzaei, referring to the tree products of this city, said: Currently, 1500 hectares of the gardens of this city are dedicated to apple orchards, 10% of which is early spring with a yield of 25 tons per hectare and can be used in June.
Also, the other 20% of new commodity cultivars are two-tone and medium-sized, which can be harvested from the end of July.
40% of late red and yellow apples are harvested in autumn.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Abhar city pointed out: At present, 600 hectares of garden lands of the city are allocated to nectarine and peach orchards, which can be harvested with an average yield of 30 tons per hectare from the end of July; This year, over 1,800 tons of peaches and nectarines have been harvested from the gardens of this city and offered to the consumer market.
