Horticulture director of Jihad Agricultural Organization of Gilan said: walnut harvest has increased by about 5% this year compared to last year.

Almasi, director of horticulture at the Jihad Agricultural Organization of Gilan, said: Walnut harvest has increased by about 5% this year compared to last year.

He specified: Gilan has 3,637 hectares of walnut orchards. Rudbar, Amlash, Siahkal, Talesh and Rudsar cities are the main walnut production areas in Gilan. Walnut harvest had begun in early September.
