Horticulture director of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Agricultural Jihad Organization announced the beginning of walnut harvest in the province.

Hamid Reza Mansouri of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari region stated: The total area under walnut cultivation in the province is 12,000 hectares. Of this amount, 8500 hectares are fertile and 3500 hectares are seedlings.

Referring to the amount of walnuts harvested in the province this year, he specified: It is predicted that 12,750 tons of walnuts will be harvested in the province this year. 40% of this product is exported to neighboring provinces.

Walnut harvest in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari continues until the first half of October.
