Khalil Haghighi stated: Behshahr city has 1,800 hectares of walnut orchards in a concentrated and scattered manner in mountainous and intermediate areas, of which 900 hectares are fertile.

He said that the walnut harvesting operation in this city has been completed, said: Behshahr agricultural jihad management in order to change the pattern of cultivation in mountainous and intermediate areas and create sustainable employment, increase villagers’ incomes and optimal land use and prevent erosion. In recent years, Khak has constructed a black-rooted garden on 3,200 hectares.

He added: each kilogram of walnuts in this city was sold for 15 thousand tomans, and the income from one hectare of walnut orchards has been 45 million rials for gardeners.
