Tuyserkan is a pilot country for improving walnut orchards
Habib Momivand, stating that the project to improve walnut orchards in Tuyserkan city has started today, added: 150 people from Tuyserkan city and 50 people from other parts of the country will attend walnut orchard improvement workshops for 5 days, so that with the implementation of this project And the presence of educators will attract tourists from all over the country.
He pointed out that the instructors of this project have been attracted from foreign countries such as Turkey, reminded: Tuyserkan city is a pilot country for improving and branching walnut orchards in the country.
The governor of Tuyserkan city, stating that there are 5,500 hectares of walnut orchards in Tuyserkan city, said: 10 to 12 thousand tons of walnuts are harvested annually from this city.
Pointing out that walnut orchards are exposed to frost damage, Momivand clarified: With the participation of the Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization and the Jihad-e-Daneshgahi of the country, we have taken action to improve and prune walnut orchards.
He announced the implementation of this project in 3,000 hectares of walnut orchards and said: This project will be done with the approach of strengthening the orchards against late frost and increasing the production of walnuts.
In the end, the governor of Tuyserkan city stated that the implementation of this plan is done in order to realize the resistance economy, noting: according to experts, with the implementation of this plan, walnut production will increase 3 to 4 times.
