Dr. Maliheh Soghti, under the guidance of Dr. Mohammad Shariat Panahi and Dr. Mohammad Reza Oveisi in her dissertation, have studied the nutritional and medicinal value of different types of peanuts available in the Iranian market.
This dissertation first states: Peanut is an annual, herbaceous plant with straight and dormant stems, which has a height of about 30 to 50 cm and even more, and is known as one of the oil and edible seeds, which in Iran as Snacks are widely consumed.
This oilseed has been considered as a suitable source for oil extraction and protein preparation. Also, the pulp from its lubrication is used in the industries of fiber making, artificial woods, fertilizer preparation and animal feed.
On the other hand, peanut oil is used as a suspender, emollient in ear drops, preparation of various creams, ointments, soaps, lubricants, as a laxative in enemas, carriers for intramuscular injections and LINIMENTS.
Effects have also been observed on distal kidney cells, spermatozoa and the reproductive system, smooth muscle cells, and pulmonary artery cells.
It should be noted that the value of nutrients of the three types of Iranian, Chinese and American peanuts that are most consumed in Iran, during a study in the food laboratory showed the percentage of sugar, protein, 3 iron, ash and moisture in the Iranian sample and The percentage of oil in the American and Chinese samples is higher; Therefore, according to the type of consumption, it is recommended to use the sample that has the highest desired value. Also, more clinical work and analysis should be done in this field.
